1963 Triumph TR4 – £18,000

Manufactured new in 1963, chassis number CT23558L was like many British sports cars of its time in that it was supplied new to the United States of America.

Repatriated from the United States in 2001 by a car dealer who we understand restored it for himself to use and enjoy. The TR4 was subsequently provided with a comprehensive bodywork and mechanical restoration, including conversion to right-hand drive (pictures are on file).

Finished in Old English White paintwork, the Triumph features complimentary Black with White piped interior upholstery (Mazda MX-5 seats fitted for comfort), and black weather gear comprising hood and full-length tonneau cover. It rides on very attractive chrome wire wheels with a wire spare. The vendor informs us that the original seats will come with the car and they are presently located at his premises.

The TR4 now displays a recorded and credible mileage of nearly 72,000 miles.

Recently, work included an oil and filter service in 2022 and a fresh battery in 2023.

Offered with a history file that contains a large selection of invoices, numerous previous MOT certificates, past tax discs, a selection of restoration pictures, current V5C document and MOT’d through to June 2024.
